രാജ്യത്ത് സോളാർ പാനലുകൾക്കും അനുബന്ധ സാമഗ്രികൾക്കും (rooftop solar projects) ഇനി GST 12%ൽ നിന്ന് 5% ആയി കുറച്ചു.
GST കൗൺസിലിന്റെ 56-ആം യോഗത്തിൽ ഇന്നലെ എടുത്ത ഈ പ്രധാന തീരുമാനം സെപ്റ്റംബർ 22, 2025 മുതൽ പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വരും.
ഇതോടെ വീടുകളിലും വ്യാപാര സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും സോളാർ പാനൽ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ആകെ ചെലവ് 7% വരെ കുറയും, സാധാരണ ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾക്ക് വലിയ ആശ്വാസമായിരിക്കും.
കേരളത്തിലെ സോളാർ സ്ഥാപനം ചെയ്യുന്ന കമ്പനികൾ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു, വിലക്കുറവ് മൂലം demand വർധിക്കും, കൂടാതെ സർക്കാർ നൽകുന്ന solar rooftop subsidy കൂടി ചേർന്നാൽ വീടുകളിൽ solar system സ്ഥാപിക്കുക കൂടുതൽ സാമ്പത്തികമായിരിക്കും.
കേന്ദ്ര ധനമന്ത്രി നിർമല സീതാരാമൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി:
“Green Energy പദ്ധതികൾക്ക് രാജ്യത്ത് കൂടുതൽ പ്രോത്സാഹനം നൽകുക എന്നതാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. Solar energy മേഖലയിൽ വലിയ നിക്ഷേപവും തൊഴിൽ അവസരവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനാണ് ഈ GST കുറവ് സഹായിക്കുക.”
